How to Disable Compatibility Tab from File Properties in Windows 10?
There are
several Windows releases, and recently,
the latest release is known as Windows
10, Windows 8.1, Windows 8, Windows 7 and many more. As with every release,
they have also released a set of new feature and also sets of
applications called as APIs. The APIs
helped the developers to build applications in such a way so that they can
utilize the full potential of the new Windows operating system release.
Consequently,
problems were often encountered by older
applications on some newest operating system. To solve these issues or problems, Microsoft started providing a
Compatibility Tab that includes all the actionable measures, and it will help all the older applications to run on the newer operating system successfully.
Sometimes,
the system administrators need to
disabled that tab. But it can only be accepted by some small businesses to
thwart their employees from messing up with the compatibility settings tab, and it might also be messing up with the normal
execution of all the programs. Its only because of the automatic Program
Compatibility troubleshooter or it can also be by adjusting the menus and to drop it down manually; the users can also vary that how the application will execute on your system.
Steps to Disable Compatibility Tab
from File Properties
Initially
try to create any system Restore Point, only if anything can mess up and might need to undo errors, then it will surely work.
Using Registry Editor
1. Press Windows +R together to start
“Run” box.
2. Type “regedit.”
3. Click on Enter tab.
4. Navigate towards the following
registry path,
5. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows
6. Alternatively, right-click on Windows
folder located in the left panel of the screen. Click on New. Select the Key
7. Name the key as APPCombat. Press
Enter.
8. Now, right-click AppCombat, choose
New. Then select DWORD (32-bit) value.
9. Again, name that newly created DWORD
as DisablePropPage. Click on Enter.

Now,
Double click on the DisablePropPage key
and easily set the value data to 1. Just ensure that base you selected is
Hexadecimal.

Click
on Ok button.
Finally, the
Compatibility Tab which you search under the properties of an executable file
is now successfully gone. And your problem or issue is now solved.
If in case,
you want to undo all the changes then you just
need to enter the above-mentioned path.
Then your all new change will automatically remove from Windows 10.
